When asked whether West Indies were overtly dependent on Gayle, Lloyd said, “I wouldnât say that (being overdependent on Gayle) â before Zimbabwe, Gayle hadnât really contributed. Itâs great whenever we get a good start with him. He scores rather quickly. Heâs a very strong player. Whenever he takes off, it gives the team a good impetus.” ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: SCHEDULE & MATCH Details
When asked about Indiaâs strengths and their performance in the tournament so far, Lloyd said, âTheyâve won three out of three. So we canât fault their bowling or their batting. Indiaâs always a formidable side and theyâll continue to be so. But when you set a standard, people expect you to keep that standard all the time. India are doing well but I hope they donât do too well on Friday.â ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: Complete Coverage
