India‘s swashbuckling batsman and explosive opener once rocked the cricketing world by hitting 26 runs in an over during an ODI match against Sri Lanka.

The incident happened during the Indian Oil Cup final in 2006 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, when India were chasing a target of 282 set by Sri Lanka in a day-night match and in the sixth over, he thrashed Dilhara Fernando for 26 runs that included five boundaries and a six. However, he couldn’t last long and was dismissed by Tillakaratne Dilshan in the 16th over for 48 off just 22 balls.
