A video of Sir Vivian Richards' innings of 189 against England in May 1984.

In the summer of 1984, a score of 220 was regarded respectable and challenging. However for one West Indies batsman it was not enough. He smashed 21 fours and five sixes to take West Indies total runs to 272.

Sir Vivian Richards' record of 189 against England was a record of most runs scored in an innings for 13 years till Saeed Anwar of Pakistan broke it in 1997.
