On Wednesday, with a cushion of 2-0 lead on their side, Dhoni took out his Hummer for a spin with his India teammates Rishabh Pant and Kedar Jadhav joining him on the fun ride.

A video of the trio in Ranchi has gone viral on social media with the car being flocked by dozens of cricket fans.

Dhoni is 33 runs away from becoming the sixth Indian cricketer to score 17,000 international runs. In what may be his final international match in his home town, the 37-year-old is primed to follow Sachin Tendulkar (34,357), Rahul Dravid (24,208), Kohli (19, 569), Sourav Ganguly (18,575) and Virender Sehwag (17,253) crossed the landmark of 17,00 runs across all three formats.

The third ODI will be played on Saturday.
