World Cup winning India U-19 team returns home

Members of the U19 team from India that won the World Cup recently versus host nation Australia arrived in Mumbai this afternoon from Australia.

Led by Unmukt Chand’s memorable century, India won the final by six wickets to lift the Under-19 cup for the third time.

Nasik Dhol and bhangra music welcomed the team at the airport.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is supposed to felicitate the team.

Chand scored an unbeaten 111 and was equally accompanied by Smit Patel in the final. Patel remained unbeaten on 62.

Coach Bharathi Arun and Unmukt Chand is scheduled to address the press on Tuesday.
