Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has hailed Yuvraj Singh as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of One-Day Internationals (ODI).

Yuvraj, who successfully battled lung cancer, has made a comeback into the Indian squad for the upcoming seven-match ODI series against Australia.

"I am hopeful of playing for few more years for the country," Yuvraj said in a programme.

The mercurial left-handed all-rounder has been included in the 15-man squad for the Twenty20 International and the first three matches in the seven-match ODI series against Australia at home.

Noting that his passion for the game got him back, after being detected with rare germ-cell cancer.

"I've always been a fighter and the inspiration to fight cancer comes from the game and the passion for the game. Attraction of the game has got me back," said Singh.
