It wasn’t just English wickets than fell like ninepins on Saturday in the third day of the Lord’s Test, there was a fan in the stands too and just like the English batsmen — her fall too was captured by the lenses.
England were in a terrible position as Australia got on with the game. The fans in the stands had little reason to cheer for till this moment came by and brought plenty of laughter — not just restricted to crowd or players, but to the whole of cricket world who watched it on television.
The young beautiful woman was on her way to make it to the seat and her male friend reached his arm around her as he tried to sit but oops, she forgot to put her seat down which resulted in the great fall. Supporters around broke out in laughter and the broadcaster showed the replays in loop. Old foes — Joe Root and David Warner, who were at the thick of action on the field couldn’t resist and joined the laughter party. Indeed, a huge moment of relief in a high intense clash!
The woman, though embarrassed played a part in the moment. She was gracious enough to acknowledge her blooper, gave a curtsy to all and was rightly applauded.
