Adam Gilchrist is one of cricket’s master glovemen, who once had the world record for most dismissals by a wicketkeeper in ODIs and the most by an Australian in Tests. However, in one occasion he missed an opportunity in a way that left even the cricketer amazed.

During one of the One-Day International (ODI) match between India and Australia, Nathan Bracken was the bowler for the last over. S Sreesanth was the batsman. As Bracken bowled, Sreesanth tried to nick one of the deliveries but missed.

As it landed on Gilchrist’s hand, the wicketkeeper tried to stump the batsman, who had lost his balance while playing the ball. Unfortunately, Gilchrist could not stump him, despite trying twice.
