Once again Chris Gayle is the talking point in cricketing circles. And this time it’s not because of his explosive batting but because of an interview that caused an explosion in the cricket world. His interview with Channel 10 host Mel McLaughlin during Sunday’s Big Bash game in Australia created headlines for the wrong reasons around the world.

He is the World Boss rather the Universe Boss after all and does things in his own crazy and whacky ways. Gayle who plays for Melbourne Renegades was seen live on air making inappropriate comments about the interviewer and even went on to ask her out for a drink after the game. He further went on to add, “Don’t blush baby!” (Read: CA, BBL criticise Chris Gayle’s behaviour; cricketer says it was just a “joke”)

This behaviour of the colourful cricketer hasn’t gone down too well with Cricket Australia and BBL authorities. Fellow commentators and cricketers weren’t too impressed with Gayle’s comments either. He later to apologise and pay a fine of US$ 7000. (Read: When Chris Gayle exposed himself to a woman during the World Cup)

However, more than anyone else, an all-rounder in India is a worried man. Stuart Binny is reportedly having sleepless nights ever since the Gayle incidence.

A faithful husband that he is, Stuart Binny is worried Gayle would do something similar if he comes to India and gets interviewed by his better half, Mayanti Langer.

Binny isn’t having the best of the times. Father Roger is no more a national selector and he himself has lost his place in the national side. Worst, his domestic side Karnataka who has had a prolific run in recent times hasn’t done well this season.

Talking to the writer, Binny said, “I just texted Chris bhai and told him that this behaviour will not be welcome in India. Chris has promised to mellow, behave like a monk and respectful of Mayanti only if I continue to bowl him full tosses. I am ready to do anything for the sake of my love.”

Well, bowling full tosses and freebies shouldn’t be much of a problem for Stuart as that is what he has mastered over the years. But that’s not the only issue, his original IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals has been banned and Binny is still in search of a time. If he does, it’s good for him. Meanwhile, we hope Gayle keeps his promise of being a “monk “and hope it’s not a proposal of sharing an Old Monk post match.

Please note this is a humour article — work of pure fiction.
