Alan Wilkins and John Kerry

Alan Wilkins was a part of the Glamorgan team which played in the Gillette Cup Final against Middlesex at Lord`s in 1977.

A former English County cricketer, Alan Wilkins was a part of the Glamorgan team which played in the Gillette Cup Final against Middlesex at Lord`s in 1977. He also took 47 wickets in First Class for Glamorgan in the same year.

Wilkins picked up 373 wickets between 1975 and 1983, before a severe shoulder injury cut short his career.

Wilkins relocated to South Africa in 1984 to start a new career as a broadcaster with the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). He then moved back to Wales in 1989 to join BBC Wales and later ESPN Star Sports as a commentator for cricket and rugby.
