South Africa and Australia will be going head on against each other in the 4th fourth Match at Saint Kitts, in the ongoing Tri-Nation ODI series in the Caribbean. In their last encounter, South Africa  Proteas emerged victorious, winning the low- scoring match by 47 runs. All the three teams have one win each in the Tri-Nation series so far. South Africa lost the inaugural match against West Indies, whereas Australia romped over the hosts easily, winning the match in a little over half the overs. The Guyana pitch was slow as it helped spinners more and the ball was not coming onto the bat. The pitch conditions at SSaint Kitts are pretty much different as it is expected to support batsmen. South Africa have struggled to score runs in this series as their star batsmen have failed to convert starts into big scores.  FULL CRICKET SCORECARD: Australia vs South Africa, Tri-Nations Series, Match 4 at Basseterre

Top Order: Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock had a good season of IPL 9. Quinton De Kock scored a century for his franchisee Delhi Daredevils (DD) and Amla fell short of only 54 runs of a century for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). In the ongoing series, they have got good starts but have failed to convert them. Both of them got good starts in both the game but have thrown their wickets away after playing themselves in. AB de Villiers has not been able to carry forward his form from the IPL. Surprisingly, a batsman known for his innovative batting is He is yet to hit a boundary in this series. South Africa need their skipper to lead from front. There is a good strong chance that Rilee Rossouw might be sent ahead of AB de Villiers after his performance in first ODI against West Indies.

Middle Order:  Either AB of de Villiers or Rilee Rossouw will come out to bat at No. 4 against Australia. They needed someone to build partnerships in the middle and lay the foundation for a big total or set the momentum for the chase. JP Duminy too has failed to produce a quality innings so far in the tournament. Farhaan Behardien’s knock was the reason for South Africa’s win against Australia. He will be expected to do something similar in the 4th fourth Mmatch at Saint Kitts. Chris Morris was promising in the IPL with his hard-httinghitting and might be included in the side as an all-rounder.

Lower Order: The lower order does not look promising as far as batting is concerned, featuring Aaron Phangiso, Kagiso Rabada, Imran Tahir and Tabraiz Shamsi. There is a chance that Kyle Abbott plays this match which will strengthen South Africa’s batting as he is capable of hitting a few out of the park.

On the other hand their bowling looks impressive with Rabada and Phangiso in form. They were the reason for Australia’s batting collapse in the previous match and will look to pull off a similar performance to win this one too.
