MS Dhoni has been paid an undisclosed amount — believed to be the highest ever for any sportsperson in the world — to reveal the many mysteries surrounding him and Indian cricket for which cricket fans never got an answer thus far.

A spokesperson close Dhoni revealed that he is terribly hurt by all the muck that has been heaped on him in recent times, and especially after his dignified, but shocking retirement.

“What was the reason Dhoni did not even let his team-mates get a whiff of his retirement?”

“Was it spontaneous or pre-meditated?”

“What’s the real reason in dropping the bombshell?”

CricLife learns that the cricket fans, who remain close to Dhoni’s heart, will know the answers to all their questions in Dhoni’s autobiography.

Among the other revelations, Dhoni will also explain why he once came to a press conference and smiled his way right through without answering questions asked by the mediapersons. Also, why he chose his marriage to be a closed affair, to which he did not invite even his team-mates — barring RP Singh. Most importantly, he will talk candidly and freely about the Indian Premier League spot-fixing controversy surrounding his team Chennai Super Kings.

“Dhoni has led a squeaky-clean life. He was forced to keep his mouth shut, which did no good to his clean image. The time has come to do justice to the cricket fans of Indian who means the world to Mahi,” said the source.

The expected date of release is immediately after the 2015 World Cup.

Does it mean Dhoni will totally quit playing for India?

“Just wait and watch,” said the source, not wanting to jump the gun.

Though the final cover has not been designed yet, CricLife was shown the tentative cover of Dhoni’s book which is strikingly similar (see above) to Rhonda Byrne raging best-settler, “The Secret” – a book which has been translated in 46 languages and sold 19 million copies worldwide. The cover may undergo some changes, but will retain the title and much of the design to cash in on Byrne’s best-seller.
