The performance of West Indian team against India in the ongoing Test series induces anger to say the least. The way their second-string squad is surrendering against the mighty Indians is boring the Test cricket purists to death. But it happens so that not just the fans, but the Caribbean cricketers too are not happy with the performance of their team. The likes of Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Darren Sammy, Sunil Narine, Lendl Simmons, Dwayne Smith et al are busy playing the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) when they should ideally have been representing the West Indies in Tests against India. Pay dispute, players’ preference for T20 leagues over West Indies, whatever the reasons may be, the truth remains the team has been missing its biggest stars and struggling big time.
But it turns out that the T20 mercenaries have expressed their displeasure over the manner of loss and shambolic performance on social media. While Gayle posted something, others like Bravo, Sammy et al jumped in. Surprisingly, there’s Virat Kohli, Harbhajan Singh and Suresh Raina too in there, a part of the conversation.
