In another ridiculous attempt to thwart Modi, the opposition has demanded his resignation over Hashim Amla not being allowed to open the innings for South Africa in the match in Rajkot, Gujarat. Amla, whose family has roots in Surat region of Gujarat, wasn’t allowed to come out and bat at his regular position of an opener in the third ODI on Sunday. He eventually came out to bat one-down but was dismissed for just five runs from 15 balls, which is so unlike Amla. Modi’s critics cried foul, claiming the PM played a role in influencing this move. The spokesperson of the opposition party said, ”Clearly, minorities have no rights in Modi’s Gujarat. They’re not even allowed to open the innings in an international game. And it’s not just about Hashim Amla, we have heard even Hardik Patel who was peacefully penancing outside the stadium, wasn’t allowed to enter in. This is baffling to say the least. Hardik Patel represents the majority and yet he wasn’t allowed. We think, PM Modi doesn’t believe in human rights and we demand his resignation!”

The matter has taken a serious political turn and later the captain of South Africa, AB de Villiers himself had to come out and inform media that the decision to demote Amla was to give Miller an opportunity to bat higher up as we believe his weakness is against the turning ball. Modi reportedly heaved a sigh of relief as ABD cleared all non senses doubts. However, talking of nonsense, an hour later Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, ”ABD is a Modi agent!” [Live streaming: India vs South Africa 2015, 3rd ODI at Rajkot]

Hardik Patel meanwhile said, ”Axar Patel bats at number 7, a position too low for a batsman from Patel community. I demand he also be given a chance to open the innings in future!” However, nobody was there to listen to Hardik Patel’s demands as every other person was allowed to enter the stadium and were busy watching the proceedings of the game.
