Much is happening with Indian cricket following their One-Day International (ODI) series with South Africa and nothing seems to be going right. Amit Mishra was arrested on Tuesday morning on charges of Sexual assault by Bengaluru police and later within minutes was released on bail. This has apparently upset Hardik Patel, the leader of Patidar Anamat Andolan and also the younger brother of Nitish Kumar, who was planning to claim a Guinness book record of fastest release on bail from jail in 2015.
According to reports, Hardik Patel revealed, “This is just how good the Karnataka police is. In Gujarat, Modi’s police arrested me for whole 5 hours before they realised they had made a mistake and released me on bail. This is nothing new with Modi’s police. Wherever he goes, police is never under control. Look how he’s troubling my mentor, Arvind Kejriwal with police related issues in Delhi! I am happy for Amit Mishra whose family happens to be involved farming which technically means he is also a Patidar and so I will allow him to claim this Guinness book record which I was targeting!”
However, cricket fans all over India were unhappy with Mishra’s release and even expressed the desire that all the fast bowlers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohit Sharma too be held up and locked behind bars for their bowling performances. Reportedly, AB De Villiers is unhappy with this development as he wants them to continue bowling for India in Tests too as well so that his team could plunder more runs!
Kejriwal has now taken this opportunity to take a dig at Modi and in a rally, said, “Modi is a cricket aspirant who turned to politics because he didn’t get a chance. He was a leg spinner and couldn’t beat Mishraji in competition for India berth. That’s why he had got him arrested!”
Modi was unable to respond to this as he was shell shocked with this allegation. According to a source from Mahagatbandhan party it’s believed that it was a strategic move to disturb Modi so that he campaigns less in Bihar.
