Hilarious: How a Pakistan fan will gear up for their ‘mauka’ against India at ICC World T20 2016

The ICC World T20 2016 is gaining momentum with the commencement of the main draw or the second round matches. On Tuesday, India played the main draw opener and added another chapter to their losing streak against New Zealand, as they went down to the Kiwis fifth time in a row in the shortest format. They failed to capitalise on the opportunity or ‘mauka’ to beat their opponents.

Talking of opportunities, another team that has been waiting desperately for it since ages will take on India on Saturday, March 19 at Kolkata. Pakistan have never beaten India in any World Cup game; be it 50-over cricket or Twenty20 (T20). Ahead of their famous clash in 2015 World Cup, the broadcaster in India had come up with a commercial ‘mauka-mauka’, which showed the plight of a Pakistani man who has been waiting for a win over India since 1992, in a funny way.

The commercial not only gained cult status in India, but also earned ire from the Pakistani fans, who came up with their own versions and rip-offs of the same ad. Ahead of the March 19 clash, the ad has made a comeback. Reacting to it, an Indian Youtube channel Be YouNick (BYN) has made a response ad based on the ‘mauka’ and another ‘Tough20’ campaign by the same broadcaster and come up with a funny video.

It shows a Pakistani fan somewhere in Pakistan preparing hard ahead of the India-Pakistan World T20 clash; not for the win though, but for loss, which is an obvious outcome of a World Cup game between the arch rivals. The video ends with the Pakistani fan smashing his TV set; a phenomenon which has been observed a lot of times across Pakistan after their team goes down against India.
