Tarot reader Shruti Chopra looks into her cards to give CricketCountry.com readers exclusive insights into what lies ahead in the IPL matches. In the below piece, she dwells into the Delhi Daredevils vs Rajasthan Royals game – the first IPL match on Sunday.

Delhi Daredevils

The Delhi Daredevils, like the Six of Cups, will apply their past experiences well and will carry forward their momentum. They will remain confident, aggressive and like the Seven of Wands will be able to interpret the match situation clearly and would remain on top of it. They will have a good all round performance with their batting and bowling. Their fielding may prove to be that minor difference between them and the opposition.

Virender Sehwag will be impulsive and aggressive. He will bat true to his character. As a captain he – like the Judgement card – will believe in himself and his team. He will be able to command and lead well today.

Key players

Mahela Jayawardene is looking to develop consistency in his performances and is comfortable today, like the Empress.

Kevin Pietersen will build strong partnerships and will work towards giving the team momentum.

Ross Taylor, like the Chariot, will be strong, calculative and will pick out bowlers to target.

Shahbaz Nadeem will have a good start to his bowling spell and will be able to bring about crucial breakthroughs.

Irfan Pathan will adapt himself well and be more steady with his all round performance.

Morne Morkel will be consistent and balanced like the Temperance, but won’t have the best start.

Rajasthan Royals

The Rajasthan Royals will be steady and reliant. Despite the break and some refreshed energy; they will come across quite nervous and under confident, just like the Nine of Swords. They will put their stresses to rest and give the Daredevils a good fight and the potential to command over them.

Rahul Dravid, like the Five of Cups, will carry some disappointments, but he will bring balance to the team, giving the innings better direction. As a captain, he will work on many strategies and be proactive.

Key players

Ajinkya Rahane will have a strong start and will accumulate runs very well. He too will have the Five of Cups plague him with unnecessary worries.

Ashok Menaria will be part of an important and strong partnership.

Brad Hogg is blessed with the High Priestess and the Hermit showing the importance of his experience and the dividends the team will receive from it.

Brad Hodge will achieve results through immense hard work. The Ace of Swords explains the rewards he will receive from his ability to come out with a game plan.

Owais Shah will play a strong and structured innings. He will come out with a plan and be able to execute it.

Kevon Cooper will have an infectious enthusiasm today. He will be able to lift the team.
