There are brothers; there are brothers from another mother and then there are brothers separated at birth. These are two individuals raised at a different place, in different conditions. But what is common about them is the striking similarity in their looks. Morne Morkel and Owen Wilson, David Miller and Richard Kettleborough, Albie Morkel and Matt Damon, Ajinkya Rahane and Dhawal Kulkarni, Matt Prior and Jason Statham, Mohammad Asif and Gianluigi Buffon, Aamer Sohail and Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Alan Wilkins and John Kerry.. the list can go on and on.

All the above pairs are examples of brothers separated at birth. In this sequence, there is another pair of such brothers, which recently came to notice. Cricketer Anureet Singh has found his long lost brother who was separated from him during birth. That brother is none other than actor Manjot Singh.

Anureet, a medium-pacer, plays for Railways in the domestic circuit. In his short career so far, he has close to 300 wickets across all the formats at domestic level. The 27-year-old cricketer has also attracted attention of franchises in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL). He was first bought by the Shah Rukh Khan co-owned Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). However, it was at Preity Zinta co-owned Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) that he made a mark.

It is sheer coincidence that he shares this Bollywood connection with his estranged brother Manjot, who incidentally is an actor in the same industry. Manjot first appeared in Oye Lucky Lucky Oye! in the year 2008. Since then, he has worked in notable films like Udaan, Student of The Year, Fukrey and Azhar among others. Have a good look at him, and you will know he is Anureet’s doppelganger.

(Trivia: Manjot’s other cricket connection is he played the role of Navjot Singh Sidhu in the film Azhar)
