Shruti Chopra dwells into her tarot cards to see what lies ahead in the Group 1 ICC T20 World Cup game between Sri Lanka vs West Indies on Saturday.

Sri Lanka

The Four of Cups shows a Sri Lankan team that has waited too long for an opportunity to do well. This is one such chance they do not wish to miss out on. Oddly, despite this desire they will expect things to go wrong as shown by the Towercard. They have the right ideas and actions in place, but they will find themselves making this a tougher task than what it is. There will be some promising batting performances, but they will need to be watchful, as Nine of Wands shows apprehension stepping in.

Mahela Jayawardene will have good plans up his sleeve, but he carries with him lot of fear. His team will encourage more self-belief in him and, like the Queen of Pentacles, he will manage to elevate his captaincy. He will have strong batting moments, but fear will filter into mindset here as well.

Key players

Kumar Sangakkara has the Wheel of Fortune supporting him with a strong batting day. It will be a good, all around day for him.

Tillakaratne Dilshan will have the right aggressive intent, but like the Seven of Swords there will be too many thoughts guiding him incorrectly. His innings will not turn out to be as fruitful as expected.

Akila Dananjaya will take some chances with his bowling, which, like the King of Cups, will deceive the opposition and provide success.

Angelo Mathews is looking too comfortable. He will need to become far more proactive to receive results.

Lasith Malinga will work hard and like the Page of Wands, he will do the basics well.

West Indies

The West Indies have been provided with the right guidance and like the Six of Wands, they will start off well. They should be careful of unnecessarily restricting themselves and curbing their natural instincts. This will eventually disappoint, only to find them back on top of their game and playing naturally like the Seven of Wands. They will need to work extra hard on their fielding as it will be tested.

Darren Sammy will put in tremendous effort to see his captaincy decisions to go through as planned. He will do well and like the Judgment, he will be rewarded accordingly. His batting will also be strong and steady. Like the Queen of Swords he will be well planned and will lead by example.

Key players

Chris Gayle will have a good start. Like the King of Cups, he will appear deceptive with his batting and bowling. Yet, he too should be careful of a deceptive ball that will take his wicket.

Johnson Charles will continue his momentum and enjoy his batting. He will have immense control and like the Three of Pentacles will play with maturity.

Dwayne Bravo will have a weak start with the bat, but he will hang on to be rewarded well all round.

Sunil Narine like the Temperance will look to maintain a constant balance. He will achieve this and do well to an extent but not entirely as he will push himself too far.

Ravi Rampaul will take control and will bowl well. Like the Ten of Wands, he will burden the opposition and will receive success from doing so.

Who will win?

West Indies.
