India and Pakistan face off in 2004

India and Pakistan met in their first bilateral series after a gap of five years when they played against each other in 2004. India toured Pakistan after a gap of fourteen years as the stage was set for the biggest rivalry. The last time they had met before this series was during the 2003 World Cup at Centurion where India defeated Pakistan and kept their undefeated record against them in the World Cup event. Pakistan looked to use their home advantage and demolish team India but Sourav Ganguly’s men had different ideas. They went on to win the One Day International (ODI) series with a margin of 3-2 while the Test series with a margin of 2-1.
