The fourth match of Asia Cup Twenty20 (T20) International 2016 was played between India and Pakistan at Dhaka. On a bowling friendly track, India won the toss and opted to bowl first. Indian bowlers and fielders did a commendable job in the first 8 overs and reduced Pakistan’s score to 52 runs for the loss of six wickets and after that it never looked like that Pakistan can get to a total of 100 and they were bowled out for 83 runs inside 18 overs. The target was small but M Amir made a prolific start for Pakistan with the ball and dismissed both Indian openers in the first over itself and then dismissed Suresh Raina also in his second over and helped Pakistan to remain in the game but Yuvraj Singh and Virat Kohli played well and when Kohli was out for 49, he ensured that India cannot lose the game from there and India managed to win the game by 5 wickets. 35 for 5 – Pakistan’s score against India after losing five wickets which is their lowest against India in T20Is after losing five wickets. Their previous lowest score after losing five wickets against India registered on September 30, 2012 at Colombo and it was 59/5.

8 for 3Hardik Pandya’s figures in today’s match against Pakistan which is best ever figures registered by an Indian bowler against Pakistan in T20Is.

7.50 – Average at which Shahid Afridi has scored his 45 runs from 7 matches against India, which is his worst when compared to his average against other countries.

83 – Number of Runs scored by Pakistan against India in today’s match which is their third lowest total in T20Is and their lowest total against any team while batting first in T20Is. Their first two overall lowest totals are 74 (against Australia at Dubai on September 10, 2012) and 82 (against West Indies at Dhaka on April 1, 2014).

9th — This is 9th instance in T20I cricket when both openers have been out on duck, Today, India’s both openers Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane out on duck against Pakistan. 18 for 3 – Figures of M Amir in today’s match against India which is his career best figures in T20Is. His previous best was 23/3 against Australia at Gros Islet in 2010.

5.00 – Win/Loss ratio of India against Pakistan in T20Is which is India’s best ratio in T20Is when compared to their win/loss ratio against other teams. India have won 5 matches and lost only one match from 7 T20I matches.

2nd  – It is the second instance when Pakistan team have dismissed both the openers for duck in T20Is. Today, they dismissed both Indian openers for a duck. Other instances happened against New Zealand at AMI Stadium on 30th December 2010 when they dismissed both J Ryder and M Guptill for a duck.

27 – Number of balls remained when India won today’s game against Pakistan is India’s fourth largest victory against any other nation and largest victory against Pakistan in terms of balls remaining in T20Is. Other three largest victories came against Sri Lanka (37 balls), Afghanistan (31 balls) and Zimbabwe (30 balls).

7 – Number of Catches taken by Suresh Raina against Pakistan in T20Is from 5 matches which is fourth most any fielder and most by any Indian fielder in T20Is. Other three fielders who have taken most catches against Pakistan are D Warner (10), E Morgan (9) and TM Dilshan (8). Today, Suresh Raina took one catch in the bowling of Hardik Pandya to dismiss M Shami.

42 – Pakistan’s total at the fall of the sixth wicket. This is the lowest total for any side at the fall of the sixth wicket against India in T20Is.
