The fourth match of Asia Cup Twenty20 (T20) International 2016 was played between India and Pakistan at Dhaka. On a bowling friendly track, India won the toss and opted to bowl first. Indian bowlers and fielders did a commendable job in the first 8 overs and reduced Pakistan’s score to 52 runs for the loss of six wickets and after that it never looked like that Pakistan can get to a total of 100 and they were bowled out for 83 runs inside 18 overs. The target was small but M Amir made a prolific start for Pakistan with the ball and dismissed both Indian openers in the first over itself and then dismissed Suresh Raina also in his second over and helped Pakistan to remain in the game but Yuvraj Singh and Virat Kohli played well and when Kohli was out for 49, he ensured that India cannot lose the game from there and India managed to win the game by 5 wickets. 35 for 5 – Pakistan’s score against India after losing five wickets which is their lowest against India in T20Is after losing five wickets. Their previous lowest score after losing five wickets against India registered on September 30, 2012 at Colombo and it was 59/5.
8 for 3 – Hardik Pandya’s figures in today’s match against Pakistan which is best ever figures registered by an Indian bowler against Pakistan in T20Is.
