Mark Richardson cramps, VVS Laxman bursts out into laughter

During the second Test between India and New Zealand at Mohali in 2003, batsman Mark Richardson smashed an Anil Kumble delivery towards Third Man but as soon as he played the shot he screamed and fell on the ground. The commentator compares the situation to that of a ‘frontline in a battlefield’. Even though Richardson was in pain, the Indian and New Zealand cricketers could not stop laughing. VVS Laxman was uncontrollable. But later on, he signaled the stretchers to be sent off. He ended the day with an unbeaten 102 from 284 balls, which included 14 fours.
