The eighth match of Asia Cup T20 2016 was played between Bangladesh and Pakistan at Mirpur in Dhaka. Batting first, Pakistan had a poor start with four wickets down for just 28 runs. They somehow managed to recover from the early loss and posted a total of 129 runs on board with the help of Sarfraz Ahmed s unbeaten 42-ball 58 and Shoaib Malik s 30-ball 41. Bangladesh too were not off to a good start as they lost their first wicket in the second over but Soumya Sarkar s composed knock of run-a-ball 48 helped Bangladesh recover from their early loss. Later on, their captain Mashrafe Mortaza and Mahmudullah ensured Bangladesh s victory by five wickets with five balls remaining. Once again we saw a few interesting statistics coming to the fore.
