After beating Sri Lanka in a close encounter, hosts Bangladesh will look to gain victory over Pakistan in match No. 8 in Asia Cup Twenty20 (T20) 2016 at Dhaka. This will be the final group match for Bangladesh, and with two wins out of three, this match will be nothing but a semi-final for them. Pakistan won their last match against UAE by 7 wickets, but not before having a mini batting collapse at the top order which Bangladesh will look to bank on again. Bangladesh has major issues in front of him as their star bowling Mustafizur Rahman was ruled out for the remaining of the event. Vishal Mehra, gives the probable XI that Bangladesh may field against Pakistan. LIVE CRICKET SCORECARD: Pakistan vs Bangladesh, Asia Cup 2016 Match 8 at Dhaka

Top Order: Bangladesh have suffered at the top with both Mohammad Mithun and Soumya Sarkar not clicking together in most their matches. Mithun so far has shown glimpses of his batting while Sarkar, who has talent and all the skills required to succeed, is not quite consistency in making runs. Tamin Iqbal, who has replaced the injured Mustafizur Rahman, will in all likelihood come in the place of Sarkar, to make the top order strong. Coming in at No.3 is the third highest run-getter in his edition of Asia Cup T20 2016, Sabbir Rahman. Sabbir has been in excellent form, accumulating 130 runs from 3 matches. Sabbir has been the pillar around which Bangladesh’s batting has revolved so far.

Middle Order: Mushfiqur Rahim on whom every cricket critic has laid their eyes upon as the next batting sensation of the nation, has so far failed to show his prowess. If Bangladesh has to get through to the final, Mushfiqur has to perform up his known standards. Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah will complete an explosive lower middle order, with the latter being in striking form. Shakib’s cameos in the series have very well provided the much needed impetus in the final overs. Shakib’s form with the ball has made more impact than his batting so far. Lower Order: Nurul Hasan will look to show something with the bat in this match, is likely to keep his place in the XI. Coming in next will be captain Mashrafe Mortaza, who is having a decent series so far with the ball. Taskin Ahmed will share the new ball attack in the absence of Mustafizur, and look to get his pace do the talking with the conditions coming favourable for the bowlers. Al-Amin Hossain, the third highest wicket-taker in the tournament will look to impact the much poor Pakistani top order and give a perfect head start to his team. Abu Hider might come in place of Mustafizur, Hider himself is a left-arm bowler who can get the ball to go in with a good pace. So far Hider has picked 3 wickets in the 2 matches he has played for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Playing XI (batting order): Mohammad Mithun, Tamim Iqbal, Sabbir Rahman, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah, Nurul Hasan(wk), Mashrafe Mortaza (c), Taskin Ahmed, Al- Amin Hossain and Abu Hider.
