Phil Hughes passes away

It was one of the saddest days in the history of cricket. On November 27, 2014, Australian Test cricketer Phil Hughes passed away in St. Vincent Hospital, Sydney after sustaining head injuries. Two days prior to that, in a Sheffield Shield match between New South Wales (NSW) and South Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), Hughes was hit by a short ball bowled by Sean Abbott, which hit him at the lower back of his head.

Critically injured, he was rushed to the hospital but two days later he succumbed to the injury. The death of the young cricketer, who was three days short of his 26th birthday, shocked the entire world.

On Tuesday, Amul paid tribute to the deceased Australian opener in its trademark style.
