The year 2015 witnessed plenty of One-Day Internationals (ODIs) game and will be best remembered for the 12th edition of the prestigious ICC Cricket World Cup. As contemporary cricket is widely acknowledged as batsman’s game there were many geniuses with the bat who did a fantastic job for their country. With the advanced kits and king sized bats along with new field restrictions come into play, scoring runs at a brisk pace has become easier. Records were created and tumbled, fastest ODI century was smacked by AB de Villiers and double tons were also scored by Chris Gayle and Martin Guptill.
Kane Williamson, Kumar Sangakkara and De Villiers are the ones to male it to the top of the list as they had a splendid run in the year. Williamson amassed 1,317 runs at a staggering average of over 57. Sangakkara was in a dream form in the twilight of his career as he fired four back to back centuries in the World Cup. The superman of cricket De Villiers to had a prolific run this year as he scored 1,193 runs at a mind boggling average of almost 80 and a scorching strike rate of 137.91.
