He was India’s star performer in the victorious Champions Trophy campaign in 2013. He was given the prestigious and most sought after title of ‘SIR’. However, destiny is a boat which sails in uncharted seas; there are ebbs and flows, crests and troughs! Unfortunately, Ravindra Jadeja is at his nadir right now. Earlier, he didn’t know if he was a bowler, but lately he is riddbled by doubts on whether he will ever play for India again. And his doubts are not totally unreasonable.

His form has deserted him and MS Dhoni, his godfather, is no longer the boss of Indian cricket, with the rise of Virat Kohli. To add to his misery, Chennai Super Kings, his Indian Premier League (IPL) outfit, has been banned for two years and Ravindra Jadeja finds himself at the crossroads. And he has finally decided to take the route northwest, from Rajkot to Karachi.  Yes, you read it right! Jadeja has secretly joined India’s Intelligence unit, RAW and will travel to Pakistan as a spy in the disguise of a cricket player and play in the new venture Pakistan Super League (PSL). One of the close members of the intelligence on assurance of anonymity remarked, ”Ever since Pakistan cricket board decided to launch PSL, we had this plan in mind. We were waiting for the team selection for the South Africa series. Depending on who was dropped, either Binny or Jadeja would have been given the offer to work for us. This is India’s best chance to combat Pakistani terrorist activities. Ravindra Jadeja will go to Pakistan and provide us with all important data collected during his stay there. BCCI has also supported this move as it will help Jadeja the cricketer by playing alongside the likes of Shahid Afridi, Kevin Pietersen, Chris Gayle and Wahab Riaz. This is a win — win situation for all of us!

”We couldn’t agree more, could we? We all want to see ‘SIR’ doing wonders for India!

However, our reliable sources have learnt that Rohit Sharma, who recently enjoyed watching the movie Phantom, also knew about this plan and dreamt of  serving the country as a spy. This explains his statements in the media that he wasn’t talented, in the hope that he would be picked ahead of Jadeja and Binny for this all-important mission. But he forgot the simple fact that he even if he is ordinary most times, he is still undroppable!
