Tarot reader Shruti Chopra looks into her cards to give CricketCountry.com readers insights into what lies ahead in the IPL matches. In the below piece, she dwells into the Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals IPL game on Wednesday.

Mumbai Indians

The last-ball win against the Deccan Chargers has given an upsurge of confidence in the Mumbai Indians. They will bring this attitude with them in to this game. Despite feeling strong and well directed, symbolised by the Emperor and well supported by the Eight of Pentacles, the Mumbai team will not be complacent and will work hard to beat Rajasthan Royals.

Harbhajan Singh will captain well. The Ace of Wands will reflect his eagerness to get on in the middle, marshal his team win and get the desired result. As a bowler, he will need to switch off from his captaincy mode and improve his focus. Opportunities will be there for him to take wickets, so he will need to remind himself of his bowling responsibilities.

Key players

Ambati Rayadu will be another confident, successful player and should have a good batting strike rate in this match.

Rohit Sharma will be able to blossom after his last winning innings. Rohit would now let go of his mental blockages, work on his strategies and would provide a more confident stability to the batting innings.

Munaf Patel may make a weak start, but that looks a temporary phase in his bowling spell. He will push himself that extra bit in getting those wickets.

Kieron Pollard is looking ready to adapt himself to the game and give the team whatever is needed from him. The Empressshows his ability to be able to command over the game.

Lasith Malinga should have a good start and has the support of the Sun and the Wheel of Fortune, he should be able to follow not just what is expected of him, but to also shine more than usual.

Rajasthan Royals

The Royals too are very confident, but the difference here is that they have the Magician on their side, which means that they have all the tools at their disposal to play successfully. Does that mean that there aren’t any weaknesses? There are! They can go wayward with the implementation of their plans. It will be important for them to push themselves through right to the end and not just expect for things to go their way.

The grounding provided by Rahul Dravid is important for the team as always, but as a batsman, despite having the right plans, he may not have the best of time seeing it through. As a captain, Dravid is the catalyst for each player. He will be ready and firm to stamp his authority to get the best out of his team.

Key players

Ajinkya Rahane will be an important player who would lay strong foundation and then charge ahead from there.

Ashok Maneria will be another player who would be strong. And as the Death card suggests, he should be able to increase and change his batting pace at will.

Kevon Cooper, represented by the Eight of WandsTen of Cups and the Seven of Wands will mean that it’s his energy, enthusiasm and the extreme team support that would put him in command of his game and over the opposition.

Brad Hodge should take on this opportunity and bat well – he has the Seven of Pentacles on his side reinforcing his batting potential in this match.

Siddharth Trivedi should bowl very well and will have a good economy rate.

Who has the advantage?

With such strong headed captains, and strong players it would be very tough to decide on who has the advantage, especially since the cards of both teams have momentum with them. Despite this, I will take a call and go with Mumbai Indians.
