Revealed: MS Dhoni is the silent co-owner of Jamaica Tallawahs!
It was a well-kept secret, but not anymore. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is apparently the co-owner of Jamaica Tallawahs!

Shah Rukh Khan purchased a stake in Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). That is well known. But if you think Shah Rukh is the only Indian to invest in the CPL, you are wrong!
It was a well-kept secret, but not anymore. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is apparently the co-owner of Jamaica Tallawahs! The idea to get Dhoni to invest into the Jamaican team was mooted by Chris Gayle, captain of the Jamaican Tallwahs.
Dhoni had discussed the matter with his mentor, N Srinivasan, who gave his blessings. It was Srinivasan who suggested the name “Jamaica Tallawahs”.
Why Tallawahs? To his millions of fans down South, Dhoni is simply “Thalaiva”. It is the same as “Thalaivar”, meaning “leader”. Hence Srini suggested to Dhoni to name the team “Jamaica Tallawahs”!
The Jamaica Tallawahs, on paper, is co-owned by Ron Parikh and Manish Patel. If you wonder who those Indians are, they are none other than Dhoni’s close friends who have invested his money. Working closely with Dhoni, but discreetly, is Vishnu Kumar, who is the“Communications and Marketing Manager” of Jamaica Tallawahs
