Rohit Sharma scored a mammoth 264 (which involved breaking all kinds of records under the Sun) to become the only batsman in One-Day International (ODI) history to score two double hundreds. Abhijit Banare presents a brief statistical overview of the two double hundreds.

In the 39th over of the match, when Virat Kohli was run-out, it all fell in place! During his 209 against Australia at Bangalore, Rohit Sharma had ran out Kohli for a three-ball duck. It was a fluent innings by Rohit. There were several similarities between Rohit’s two double tons. He started off slowly before going berserk. Of course unlike in the match against Australia, the Thisara Perera dropped a sitter when the batsman was on four.
