Sri Lanka: When the money runs out

In the world of Big Three in cricket administration, the smaller pawns are often dragged around. In July 2014, the International Cricket Council saw a tectonic shift in favour of India, Australia and England. Those who opposed the big brother ended in doldrums. Sri Lanka almost committed the mistake and could’ve lost the opportunity of earning huge revenue. Already in a financial crisis, the Lankan cricket administration finally had to toe the line of the Big Three.

When The Money Runs Out is an account of the Sri Lanka’s cricketing and financial travails while taking on the Big Three. The cover and title of the book is inspired by economist Stephen D King’s book by the same name.
