Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be up against Gujarat Lions (GL) in the Match 15 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016 on Thursday. The match will be played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. Sunrisers Hyderabad having won their first match of the tournament against Mumbai Indians (MI) will be looking to follow it up with another win. After a poor start to the tournament, their captain David Warner has instilled faith right back into the dressing room. It will be interesting to see whether SRH change their playing XI or not. Here’s what we think. FULL CRICKET SCORECARD: Gujarat Lions vs Sunrisers Hyderabad , 15th T20 Match, IPL 2016
Top Order: SRH’s batting proved their worth, that got down the defending champions. The credit of the win though, belonged to the skipper David Warner for his knock of 90. Warner staying till the end and finishing off the innings was a good sign for SRH. Shikhar Dhawan has been struggling with his form, his supporting role along with skipper has been disturbing for SRH. Moises Henriques however, complimented Warner well after an early wicket. He showed that he can definitely contribute with the bat. The top-order looks pretty settled and no changes would be required here, until Shikhar decides to take the giant strides against new entrant Gujarat Lions. Middle Order: The middle-order looks a bit dicey with Eoin Morgan’s on and off performance. Of course he remained prominent in the win against Kolkata Knight Riders, but his early wicket in the previous match against MI, looks to be a matter of concern. Deepak Hooda’s cameo shots can come handy especially to balance the aggressive Morgan on the other side. Naman Ojha was decent with his wicketkeeping as he was involved in 3 dismissals. Expect the same middle-order to play. Ashish Reddy is yet another batsmen who supported Morgan against KKR and played those heavy shots to keep the momentum alive.
Lower Order and Bowling: The bowling department for SRH has been consistent and at par especially with the likes of Mustafizur Rahman and the new bee Barinder Sran. The pressure on Henriques has been tremendous especially after the Ashish Nehra has been stepped out due to injury. Henriques was economical as well. Mustafizur was on the mark as he bowled the death overs pretty well and didn’t let the MI batsmen find the boundary. But Barinder Sran was the pick of the bowlers with best figures of 3-28 for his side. Bipul Sharma replaced Karn Sharma and although he went for runs in his last over, he was fairly decent. If the bowlers continue to do their bit, definitely another win is on the cards for SRH.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Likely XI: David Warner (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Moises Henriques, Eoin Morgan,Deepak Hooda, Naman Ojha (wk), Ashish Reddy, Bipul Sharma,Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mustafizur Rahman, Barinder Sran
