In the ongoing One-Day International (ODI) series between India and South Africa, opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan, who was expected to give a solid start in every match, has flopped miserably. Since the ODI series has begun, Dhawan has been South African opening bowler Morne Morkel’s bunny.

Prior to the series, it was said that Dhawan would demolish Morkel, just the way he did in the World Cup 2015 group match. In that game, the ‘Gabbar’ of team India pulled Morkel effortlessly and scored runs against him at will. Dhawan faced 29 balls from the lanky pacer and scored equal number of runs with ease.

But in this ODI series, Dhawan has proved to be a complete dud. Forget Morkel, he has shown inability to handle any South African bowler. In the three ODIs so far, he has been dismissed by Morkel and all he could manage against him — 9 runs of 29 balls in three innings. Clearly the South African speedster has exacted his revenge on his opponent for the ignominy he had to face during the World Cup encounter.

The below meme is humorous representation on what Dhawan might be thinking after scoring the century against South Africa and how Morkel replied in the ongoing ODI series.
