Tarot reader Shruti Chopra looks into her cards to give CricketCountry.com readers exclusive insights into what lies ahead in the IPL matches. In the below piece, she dwells into the Deccan Chargers vs Rajasthan Royals game – the only IPL match on Friday.

Deccan Chargers

The Nine of Cups and the Wheel of Fortune grace the Deccan Chargers towards a positive outlook. They are looking forward to performing and enjoying their game. In the midst of such positivity, the team looks quite unprepared in terms of the right plans. The Five and Seven of Swords does show them to have adopted some complicated ideas and in turn have confused themselves. They will need to be more certain of how and when to implement their plans in order to be successful.

Kumar Sangakkara will have a good start with the bat. Like the King of Wands, he will adapt his batting style to suit the situation and should be able to perform well. I have used the word ‘should’ because of the Five of Cups, which shows that he will have the ability to end his innings through a dip in confidence. Therefore, despite it being a good day, he can undo his hard work. As a captain, he will find himself re-planning strategies because of the initial complicated planning. His instinctive changes will prove to be beneficial.

Key players

Dale Steyn will be like the Queen of Pentacles – expensive. However, hel will bring about valuable results. Overall, he will a fruitful day for him.

Cameron White will find it tough to make runs. The Devil warns him to not be coaxed in playing an unnatural shot.

Shikhar Dhawan will be fresh and energetic. Like the Moon, he will look to hound the opposition and attack aggressively.

Daniel Christian will have a sedate start and will have to work very hard to display a good performance.

Amit Mishra will be an economical bowler, yet it will be tough for him to get his deserving wickets.

Manpreet Gony will have a good day. Although slow, he, like the Queen of Swords will be strong, well planned and will be able to implement his plans to achieve success.

Rajasthan Royals

The lows will be evident in the Royal’s game. Luckily, they have the Empress and the Six of Wands, which will allow them to pick up charge and work hard towards bringing success. They will be able to negate the discomfort presented by the Ten of Swords and allow for balanced and pro-activeness to bring them results. A day of hard work and a strong team unit coming together. Like the Hierophant, they will have the key to achievement.

Rahul Dravid, like the Temperance will have the ability to change his batting temperament and shift gears at will. He will play a balanced and strong innings, which will allow him to create important foundations. As a captain he will be wise yet allow himself to take calculated risks which will look to pay off.

Key players

Ajinkya Rahane will face mental struggles and like the Nine of Swords, he will feel disappointed with himself. But if he keeps himself together and overcomes this challenge, he will blossom in his batting. But the challenge is quite tough.

Brad Hodge is looking positive and aggressive. The Six of Cups shows him getting into his natural, old form. He will look to dominate and feel quite comfortable in his innings.

Johan Botha will be expensive with the ball, but he will be rewarded with wickets. He will also contribute with the bat.

Shane Watson has the World card, therefore he will bring together all his expertise in every area of the game. A good day for him as he will be an important catalyst.

Shaun Tait won’t be the most economical bowler, but he will get results.

Ankeet Chavan will feel the pressure, but he will thrive in this. He will have a strong and balanced day, bringing with it achievement.

Pankaj Singh will be miserly, well planned and like the Seven of Wands, he will be on top of his game. A good day with the ball.
