Yusuf Pathan out obstructing the field : 2013

Yusuf Pathan in a hurry to take the victory single-handedly

During an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013 match between Pune Warriors India (PWI) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Yusuf Pathan was trying to take the latter to victory single-handedly.

 In the process of taking a single, he hit the ball straight on the pitch and while taking run, he saw the bowler running in to collect it, at the same time he kicked the ball intentionally to make his way safe towards reaching non-striker’s end and the ball went out of reach for Wayne Parnell.

 Pune appealed and the umpires ruled him out for obstructing the field.
