Sachin Tendulkar made his international debut as a 16-year-old on the tour to Pakistan in 1989. Salil Ankola, the former India fast-bowler also debuted during that tour and was Tendulkar’s room-partner through the campaign. He recalls a few interesting experiences from that tour and how the young Tendulkar fit into the Indian team.
