Before that, opener David Warner got out after scoring a gritty 51 off 46 balls which included five fours and one six. Shikhar Dhawan had him caught by Ravi Teja just when the opener was about to break the shackles.

Amit Mishra had Venugopal Rao caught after a quick-fire 21 as he tried to up the run-rate. He was caught by Daniel Christan in the covers.

Warner and Venugopal consolidated putting up a vital partnership of 40 runs after Delhi lost three quick-wickets for mere 38 runs. Warner is batting on 41 while Rao is on 13. Delhi are 78 for 3 at the end of the 10th over.

Harmeet Singh got his second wicket when he had Aaron Finch caught by Kumar Sangakkara behind the wicket for zero. Earlier, he dismissed Sehwag for 12. Delhi are 41 for 3 after seven overs.

Delhi Daredevils lost two quick-wickets in their chase when Daniel Christian had Naman Ojha lbw for 2 after Harmeet Singh got Deccan an important breakthrough dismissing Virender Sehwag for 12 after the Delhi skipper and David Warner got Delhi off to a blazing start hitting Christian for four boundaries in the second over which fetched them 17 runs.
