Anushka Sharma was seen cheering from the stands for boyfriend and Indian vice-captain, Virat Kohli when he scored his ninth century in Tests and fourth against Australia in the third Test the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Kohli acknowledged the much-valued support by blowing a kiss towards the stands. He went past the 150-mark off 242 balls for the first time in his Test career and became the eighth Indian to have scored 1,000 or more runs against Australia.. The other Indians to have done so are Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid, Sunil Gavaskar and Gundappa Viswanath.

Kohli was dismissed for 169 off Mitchell Johnson in the last over of the day. This is now Kohli’s highest score in his glittering Test career so far. The right-handed batsman also became the second Indian batsman after Sunil Gavaskar to score three tons in a series in Australia.

Anushka, who is in Melbourne for a break after the release of her recent movie ‘PK’ starring Aamir Khan, and is set to bring in the New Year with Kohli Down Under.
