Indian judiciary and banks are breaking their heads to recover INR 9,000 crore from the absconding billionaire Vijay Mallya. The once king of good times has fled to London but according to reports, he continues to lead his lavish lifestyle and is still in-charge of the IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
In the early 2000s, it was Mallya’s idea to create the annual Kingfisher Calendar, which would feature top models in swimsuits. The calendar has seen the likes of Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Nargis Fakhri and other top celebrities pose for it.
Former Indian cricketer Atul Wassan, who possesses a cheeky sense of humour, saw the lighter side of the whole Mallya fraud incident. He tweeted:
I may be poorer by Rs 72/- (9000 cr divided by 125 cr Indians ) but I am more worried about my 2017 calendar. Patanjali calendar will not do

On Saturday too, Wassan had taken a dig at the finance minister on the same issue when he tweeted:
#dontworry mr Jaitley will recover the money. In next year’s budget he will introduce “Mallya Recovery cess” of 0.50%. with service tax .
