BCCI announces mini IPL in September: Twitter reactions

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has declared to host a mini version of Indian Premier League (IPL) overseas in every September, commencing from this year. It is also reckoned as the mini IPL” or “IPL overseas”. Thakur was quoted in a report from ESPNCricinfo saying, “In the month of September, the BCCI is willing to host a mini IPL or IPL overseas. [It will be] a shorter format, not home and away matches but a lesser number of matches; in a two-week window we will be able to complete it.” ALSO READ: Nick Compton to take an indefinite break from cricket

Fans are excited as there will more entertainment and more players will get a chance to showcase their talent on the big stage. T20 is a format which is loved by fans across the globe. IPL is a hit in India and BCCI is certainly eyeing to carry the similar passion overseas.
