The teaser of Brett Lee-starrer ‘UnIndian’ was released on Tuesday. The former Australian cricketer makes his debut as a lead-actor alongside Indian actress Tannishtha Chatterjee in the cross-cultural romantic comedy supported by the Australia India Film Fund (AIFF).
The film is produced and directed by University of New South Wales (UNSW) alumnus Anupam Sharma, with Tannishtha playing a divorced single mother who falls in love with Lee.
The production began in October last year in Sydney and was announced during Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s visit to India.
Lee is a popular figure in India and had earlier made a cameo appearance in Bollywood film ‘Victory’ in 2009.
