Colin Munro scripted history as he became the first overseas player to smash a ton in the Caribbean Premier League. The feat came in the fifth encounter of the season between Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) and Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW). Despite scoring a scintillating ton, Munro’s side GAW ended up being on the losing side as Chris Lynn played a dogged innings to carry his team over the line. Batting first, TKR posted 163 runs target on the board as Munro fired 100 from 65 deliveries, which contained seven boundaries and six maximum. Munro played with unmatched confidence and his innings was a combination of brute force and finesse. The New Zealander is tailor-made for this format and will continue with some forewords in the matches to come.
