After 39 days, 33 matches, Caribbean Premier League (CPL) of 2016 season has come to it’s final stage with the top two teams fighting for the trophy. These two teams are Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW) and Jamaica Tallwahs (JT).
Both GAW and JT were the table toppers in the league stage. GAW were at the top in the league stage with seven wins in 10 matches, while Chris Gayle-led JT registered six victories out of 10. The only common thing was both the team’s number of loss as both lost only three matches. GAW was initially led by Martin Guptill but later was taken over Rayad Emrit. JT came into final after defeating the defending champions Dwayne Bravo captained Trinbago Knight Riders in the second qualifier of CPL 2016.
With two top teams in the final, one can expect an thrilling encounter between both the sides. Expect a run-fest when these two giants lock horns with each other. The match will begin at 19:00 local time on August 7 and 4.30 AM IST on Saturday and will be live streamed on Sony LIV.
