Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan is an avid sports lover. ‘King Khan’, as he is fondly known as, was a sportsperson himself in his school and college time and has even led his college’s hockey team. When the Indian Premier League (IPL) arrived in 2008, he got involved with cricket by becoming co-owner of franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He took his association with the game to the next level when he became co-owner of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) franchise T&T Red Steel, which was later renamed as Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR). Known to carry his passion and emotions on the sleeves, Shahrukh has shared a close bond with his team’s players. In the past too he has hit the headlines when Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar lifted him after a KKR win. ALSO READ: VIDEO: Andre Russell’s blistering ton steers Jamaica Tallawahs to CPL 2016 final.
This time though, Shahrukh had naughty intentions for his TKR players Brendon McCullum and Sunil Narine. In the ongoing season of CPL, his side, which is the defending champion, won the eliminator by beating St Lucia Zouks (SLZ). McCullum and Narine starred with the bat and helped their side make it to qualifier two; just two steps away from retaining the title. This is when Shahrukh revealed what he wanted to do to the two players, who have also been a part of KKR. He wrote on his official Twitter handle:
I want to kiss @SunilPNarine74 and massage my man Mc Cullum’s back. Well done TKR. Had a bad day cos of me & a great nite cos of u. Thanks

Shahrukh wanted to do something special for two of his finest players and he must have thought of doing it post winning the title. However, as it turned out, his side lost the qualifier two to Jamaica Tallawahs (JT) and crashed out of the tournament, thus ending SRK’s hopes. The Gayle-led JT will now meet Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW) in the CPL 2016 final on Sunday.
