Emraan Hashmi’s first look as Azhar has been revealed and has generated a lot of buzz in the internet. The Murder actor essays the role of the former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin in the latter’s biopic Azhar, which is directed by Anthony D’Souza. D’Souza last directed the Akshay Kumar starrer Boss.
In the poster released, we see Emraan entering the field in the Indian jersey. The white helmet and the clinging black tabeez makes the actor resemble the stylish Hyderabadi cricketer. Azhar is being produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and will see Prachi Desai enacting the role of Azharuddin’s first wife Naureen. The actor who will play the role of his second wife Sangeeta Bijlani hasn’t been finalised yet. But Nargis Fakhri and Kareena Kapoor are two names that have been rumoured.
Emraan, who is thrilled to play the role of former Indian skipper, tweeted:

Famous film director Mahesh Bhatt, who is Emraan’s uncle and mentor, claimed to be blown away by the teaser and tweeted:
