Once again India failed to soak in the pressure and lost the game after being on the brink of an implausible victory. Team India were expected to chased down such total in front of the current Australian bowling attack after being in a commendable position at one juncture. But they failed to do so and with this loss they are now down with 4-0 with a game to go.
The target of 349 was such big total for a batting line up which carries power house like Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Ajinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja. Kohli and Dhawan stitched a big partnership and victory was looked within the reach. But as soon as the top order got out the whole Indian batting line up collapsed like nine pins. It first started with Dhoni and followed with Kohli, Gurkeerat Singh Mann and then Rishi Dhawan.
Indian cricket team fans expressed their disappointment on social media after such a heartbreaking loss against Australia. The hosts now have a golden chance to whitewash the visitors in the five-match series. Check out the best of the tweets on Indian team’s unexpected loss at Canberra.
