Former cricketers picking their all-time XI is nothing new. But seems like current cricketers are too taking interest in doing that as India’s leading spinner Ravichandran Ashwin picked his all-time international XI during a contest organised by Sportstar named #AskAshwin.
A fan named Kala Mani asked Ashwin’s all-time XI in international cricket, which he replied quite wittingly by saying, “Hahaha, I know this will lead to controversies,” and came up with his all-time XI, which includes big names like Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Wasim Akram, Shane Warne, etc.

To avoid any controversy, Ashwin further tweeted regarding his team.

It seems like Ashwin picked his all-time ODI XI instead of International XI, which was asked by the user, as Michael Bevan did not have good run in Test cricket. Ashwin also revealed his favourite spinner is Anil Kumble but interestingly he did not include the cricketer in his all-time XI. He also clarified on his tweet why Kumble is his favourite spinner.

Ashwin is currently India’s leading spinner across all the formats of the game. Till now he has grabbed 176 wickets in his name in just 32 Tests at 25.39.
