Google CEO Sundar Pichai wanted to become a cricketer; idolised Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar

Pichai said that he wanted to become a cricketer and also added that he prefers ODIs and Tests over Twenty20 International (T20I)

Google’s Indian origin CEO — Sundar Pichai on Thursday was at nation’s capital New Delhi and visited Shri Ram College of Commerce and Arts to interact with the students. During the conversation Pichai revealed something which was unexpected and came as a surprise to many students. He said that he wanted to become a cricketer and also added that he prefers ODIs and Tests over Twenty20 International (T20I), which has now become the most popular format of the game in the last few years and further added, “I used to be a huge fan of (Sunil) Gavaskar when he was playing and later, Sachin (Tendulkar) when he played.”

While talking to the students, Pichai advised them to always follow dreams and if one listens to its heart then that person will always find success in life. It was a question from a student which he answered and said that his dream was to become a cricketer and also liked to play football. He also said that he only follows these two games.

Pichai also quipped that if he was not in Google then he would have been making a software product.
