Harbhajan, Yuvraj Singh troll Parthiv Patel over a throwback image; call him ‘Chuzza’

Thursday became #ThrowbackThursday when former Indian captain and legendary leg-spinner Anil Kumble shared an old image of Team India members taken during a visit at the Huka Falls in Taupo, New Zealand. The image has all the Team India members including Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid among others from the disastrous tour of New Zealand in 2002-03.

The image also includes Zaheer Khan, Yuvraj Singh, Ajit Agarkar, Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman, Mohammad Kaif, Javagal Srinath, Ashish Nehra, Harbhajan Singh, Parthiv Patel, Team India’s current batting coach Sanjay Bangar and Dinesh Mongia; all a part of India’s squad for the tour. The pleasant image makes for a good view and makes the fans of Indian cricket nostalgic.

Immediately after he shared the image, Harbhajan trolled Parthiv calling him a ‘Chuzza’ with this tweet:

Parthiv responded back to the troll with this tweet:

At this point, Yuvraj jumped into the conversation and further trolled Parthiv with his tweet:

Parthiv displayed his good sense of humour and presence of mind by trolling Yuvraj in return as he called him ‘chachaji’.

Trolling apart, the tour to New Zealand in 2002-03 was not as good as the picture for Team India. They were trounced by the Kiwis quite comprehensively both in Tests as well as ODIs. New Zealand won the two-match Test series 2-0 while they also beat India in seven-match ODI series 5-2. India though made a strong comeback in the World Cup 2003 that immediately followed this tour in South Africa, reaching the finals and beating New Zealand in the process. That made for some sweet revenge!
