Renowned cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle has been a topic of discussion for last couple of days, after the BCCI unceremoniously dumped him from the commentators’ panel for the ninth season of Indian Premier League (IPL). What hurt Bhogle more was the way things were handled by the board, as no one cared even to intimate him about the contract suspension.
The TV presenter had taken to Twitter to express his unhappiness over the matter and soon he started trending on social media. Many fans came out in his support and appealed to the board to bring him back for IPL, as they were missing his insightful commentary. Buoyed by the support, Bhogle thanked his fans and followers recently through his Facebook post.

Harsha had come under attack during the ICC World T20 2016 in India, when legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan had criticise him in a veiled attack. Indian skipper MS Dhoni too had supported Amitabh by retweeting him and adding “nothing to add”, giving ample evidence that the Indian players too were not very impressed with him.
